Sociis Design is a Canadian residential and interior design company, which provides full design services in Calgary (Canada), DFW, Rockwall and Northeast Texas (United States), and virtual design anywhere in Canada and United States.

Our core strength lies in the ability to combine both technical and creative services, giving our clients a beautiful space that meets buildability and practicality.

It is not only about aesthetics – we develop our projects with a high level of technical attention, and we are committed to find technical solutions during the planning design phase.

We start with a 3D model and go all the way to a detailed construction package, thinking of every needed solution for your space.

Founder & Lead Designer​

Aline Melo is a designer with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism. She studied architecture for five years before moving to Canada in 2010. She has been providing residential design services in North America for the last eleven years, building a portfolio of experience in home renovations and residential new builds.

Aline is passionate about residential and interior design. Her dad was a builder, and watching him work in their small hometown in Brazil; she started saying she would grow up to be a designer when she was only 4. She truly believes that her work is not just about creating beautiful spaces but improving her client’s quality of life, giving them a place of refuge where wonderful memories can be built.

Our lead designer constantly challenges herself as she runs the business while still caring for her family and homeschooling her kids. She loves traveling, coffee, crafts, DIY projects, and baking. She enjoys studying Scripture and being with her family in her spare time.

MEET CAROL

Junior Designer
Caroline Breitkreitz is our Junior Designer with a Bachelor’s in Architecture and Urbanism. She is passionate about design and all the concepts that involve art, creation, and the possibility of improving people’s lives by transforming the space where they live. Carol has five years of experience in cabinetry design and two years of experience in North American residential design. When not immersed in the projects, Carol loves to spend time hiking, working out, or cooking for the ones she loves

We respect and acknowledge that we are trusted to work with our clients on the project of a lifetime. They may have saved long and hard to complete this renovation or new home construction. We understand that going through a home renovation or new build is stressful! But we ask our clients to remain respectful to our team members, and we guarantee that we will be professional and respectful throughout the process.
Support
Deciding to renovate a home or build a new one can be a difficult decision! There will be ups and downs throughout the process, and some phases may be more stressful than others. Especially during construction. We are here to support you; through decision-making and design but also in those extra tricky bits when you’re frustrated, tired, and just want to be settled into your home.

Working in partnership with our clients and contractors is so important to us that we named the company based on that! That is right! Soccis is a Latin word meaning partnership. We will work as a team with our clients and provide all the documentation and insight needed for a successful outcome.
High quality drawings

Construction drawings must be of high quality to reap all the benefits they can bring. Low-quality drawings will create confusion on-site, project delays, and site mistakes. We don’t want to see our clients going through this headache! A good set of construction drawings enables us to get an accurate design model, optimizing construction schedule and cost estimation.

Design+Tech

Aline’s first job in Canada was as a technologist, and after four years, she had gained a lot of experience on the technical side of design. One of her missions within the company is to train her team to be excellent designers and technologists. After all, a good design means nothing if it can’t be well executed.
