Our Process

We have a precise and organized process that helps us ensure the project stays on track, within budget, and on time.

An overview of our process:

1 - PROGRAMMING
After you sign a contract with us, we will initiate our first design phase: Programming. During this phase, we will meet with you to understand your expectations and wishes for the design. This meeting is called the Initial Concept Design meeting.
2 - CONCEPT DESIGN
Concept Design is when we start transferring all the information gathered during Programming to floor plan options that will meet your needs and comply with the Building Code and City Bylaw.
3 - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT​
In this design phase, we usually take the conceptual plans approved by the clients one step further, and we start thinking about materials, colour, and volume. We will prepare a 3D model to help you visualize the potential result and identify constructability issues. At the end of this phase, once the design is approved, we will prepare a detailed set of drawings that we will use to prepare construction pricing.
4 - CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION​
Construction Documentation is a set of drawings, details, and documents that will be used on-site to execute our project. We will prepare them after the construction budget is approved, then have a meeting to review the drawings, clarify questions, and discuss details.
5 - CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT​
We work hard to deliver high-quality drawings with all the necessary information so the builder can proceed with construction without any setbacks. However, we also understand that questions or problems may arise during construction, and support from the design team may be necessary.
